Meet Rachel, a domestic violence survivor who previously lived in a hotel with her 16-year-old special needs daughter.
Rachel was doing well as a property manager. However, she lost her job due to layoffs four months ago, and as a result, she fell behind on rent.
As the bills piled up, Rachel reached out to us for help. Monthly Miracles, in partnership with City Serve and Cornerstone Fellowship, was able to help pay her back rent! The timely intervention of the organizations helped Rachel avoid eviction and gave her peace of mind. But the support didn't stop there.
Our volunteers connected Rachel to a local church, where her daughter now attends the Disability Ministry. This spiritual support has been instrumental, helping them navigate through the challenges of life after domestic violence and job loss.
Rachel's story highlights the importance of church and community support in times of crisis, and the impact every single dollar you donate can have on our neighbors in need.
